The project
When digital technologies company Brillio announced the relocation of their corporate offices to the Dallas-Fort Worth region of Texas, their goal was to create a space that would attract and retain top-tier talent while incorporating branded design to enforce corporate identity. As a hub for Software as a Service (SaaS) organizations, Brillio required a visually distinct and acoustically optimized office to accommodate their work with high-level, classified clients—one that managed construction costs while delivering high-end, functional design.
A collaborative effort between the architects at M Moser Associates, Autex Acoustics® partner Interior Environments, and the Autex Acoustics design team, the completed Brillio office combines acoustic excellence with innovative branded design elements, balancing the need for cost-effective acoustic solutions with high-end, functional design.

Value-engineered acoustic excellence
The Autex Acoustics design team played a key role in creating an acoustically effective space by providing innovative acoustic solutions and helping to streamline manufacturing processes. The team worked directly with Interior Environments to develop practical custom acoustic solutions like solid, laminated cubes that were ready to install when delivered, saving time and reducing labor costs without sacrificing design intent.
“We used timber beams, custom cube tiles, and some unique groove designs for Brillio,” says Adrian Carillo, Autex Acoustics design consultant. “I designed this project in a 3D environment, which helped me visualize how everything lays out in three dimensions before converting it to a 2D representation for production.”
“A big win for us was maintaining high absorptive products on both the ceilings and walls,” Adair says. “Often, value engineering results in one or the other being prioritized, but we managed to keep both while staying within budget. This was a huge success, especially since it allowed us to meet the client’s acoustic and design goals without compromise.”
Customized, collaborative innovation
In addition to the more standard elements included in the Brillio office concept, Autex Acoustics worked to create branded design elements that would enhance their brand identity in simple but effective ways. In this project alone, there were seven unique Frontier baffle designs, not including the standard rectangular shape, with sizing and spacing to emphasize the Brillio “i” logo without making the design overly complex.
“One stand-out feature was this impression—a kind of silhouette cut into a baffle with an exclamation mark,” Carillo says. “It wasn’t hard, but it did require some out-of-the-box thinking. This project pushed my skills a bit, especially for creating impressions and silhouette layouts.”
The collaboration between the Autex Acoustics design team and partner Interior Environments was a core part of what made this project successful, not just in terms of cost-effectiveness, but successfully integrated brand design as well. M Moser Associates, the architects for the Brillio project, agree.
“From the project’s onset, IE demonstrated an exceptional ability to navigate the complexities of our client’s evolving requirements, including fluctuating budgets and challenging specifications,” Christi Geiger, Senior Associate at M Moser Associates, says. “The contributions of the Autex acoustical materials and decorative enhancements were not only highly effective but also elevated the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space.”
